First Aid Yacht SHOCK accepted by the RYA
National Yachting School » News » First Aid Yacht SHOCK accepted by the RYA
Since April 2013 RYA accepts only First Aid courses from the approved list of courses. The First Aid course organized by our partner SHOCK Training has now been approved by the RYA.
Yachtmaster exam candidates are required to hold one of the accepted First Aid certificates prior to the exam. The certificate must not be older than two years. On Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal skipper courses the First Aid certificate is not mandatory, however we can highly reccomend this course to every skipper, at sea you are on your own, usually beyond the reach of fast rescue services and you must be able to cope with injuries and medical issues.
